The final examination for the master’s thesis in the 2025 academic year was held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. One student from the Tago Laboratory presented their research and responded clearly and appropriately during the Q&A session. As a result, the student successfully passed the examination.
The final thesis presentation was held on Wednesday, January 26. Twelve students from the Tago Laboratory gave presentations. After their presentations, they were able to respond confidently and appropriately to questions from faculty members, bringing their year-long research efforts to a successful and satisfying conclusion.
On the evening of Saturday, December 5th, the Tago Laboratory hosted its year-end party, which also served as an alumni gathering. A total of 22 participants joined—from third-year professionals to current third-year undergraduates—making it a lively and enjoyable event.
After the dinner party at the restaurant, we held a second gathering back at the lab, where everyone mingled freely across different years. For the current students, it was a great chance to hear valuable insights about job hunting and graduate school from their seniors.
The Thirteenth International Conference on Advanced Cloud and Big Data (CBD 2025) was held at the Ookayama Campus of Institute of Science Tokyo over three days from November 29 to December 1, 2025.
From the Tago Laboratory, one paper by a fourth-year student and one paper by a recent graduate were accepted, and both were presented in front of other researchers. They also joined the conference dinner and other events, gaining valuable experiences.

From September 1st to 2nd, the Tago Lab held our annual seminar retreat. We stayed at the university’s training center in Onjuku, where we enjoyed group work sessions and a barbecue, deepening our friendships while having fun. At night, we even set off fireworks on the beach, which seemed to create some great memories for everyone.
On Thursday, July 31, 2025, the midterm presentation session for graduation research was held. Twelve students from the Tago Laboratory gave their presentations, and we are happy to report that all of them passed successfully. Let’s keep up the good work for the remaining six months! 😊
The degree conferment ceremony was held at Makuhari Arena on Saturday, March 22, 2025. From the Tago Laboratory, three master’s students and nine undergraduate students graduated. Some of them also participated in the graduation celebration party in the evening, where they had the opportunity to strengthen their bonds.

On January 21, 2025 (Tuesday), the graduation research presentation for the Department of Network and Information Sciences took place. Nine students from the Tago Laboratory presented their research, and they successfully completed their presentations, including the Q&A sessions.
The results of their year-long graduation research were recognized, and they all passed without any issues, including their presentations. Congratulations to everyone!
The Tago Lab Year-End Party & Alumni Gathering was held on Saturday, December 21, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in Funabashi. A total of 12 participants, including 6 alumni who kindly made time to join us and 6 current students, came together to share updates and enjoy casual conversations.
The second round of the gathering continued at the lab, where we had the pleasure of enjoying drinks and lively discussions, spiced up by stories shared by alumni working at Konami and DeNA. The event also welcomed alumni from Nakagawa Lab and current members of Takahashi Lab, leading to animated discussions, including some lighthearted talks about relationships. It was a relaxed and enjoyable evening for all.
We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
